Happy Anniversary....:)

Today is the 11th year that I'm working as an education officer, a teacher in my former school..

Yesterday I received a fax that required me to attend a meeting at the Higher Education department and I straightaway guessed that this could be the follow up for the ACER Project, i.e. the NSSCME for Brunei. I attended the meeting this morning at 11 a.m. at MoE and my guess was right.. :-)

After the meeting, I spend about half an hour chatting with my dear friends who were involved with the ACER project in Melbourne last year. Actually today is exactly one year after we started the training (25 August 2008). It seems like time flies so fast that we didn't realize that it was already one year. Three of us were coursemates while we were back in UBD and we got our posting letter to work in schools on the same date (25 August) 11 years ago. Whoa... it doesn't feel like I've been working for 11 years already.. :-) Seems like I've enjoyed the teaching profession and everything that's going on in schools.

I've my former students in my facebook members list and I've found out that one of my former student is continuing his studies (taking up his Master degree) in the UK. Hmm.... that's the biggest accomplishment for my former student.. Congrats to him.. I know you can achieve your very best!!

Talking about doing Masters degree, I remembered that when I did my Masters in UBD I was in the same class as my former Biology teacher who is actually one of the school principal. Well, I guess a similar thing is happening like a cycle.. Alhamdulillah.. I've never expected that to happen and I'm pretty sure that (at that time) she was surprised to see me.. hehehe.. anyway, seorang-seorang punya rezeki.. :-)

Well, one thing for sure is that there will always be opportunities everywhere and at any time. We just need to look for it 'coz it wouldn't come by and look for us.. Thus, we need to work our best to achieve it and pray for our rezeki.. InsyaAllah..
