One special sunday.... away day at LLRC..

Fun! Exciting! Memorable!
That was how I felt when I attended the Away Day at Liang-Lumut Recreational Club on Sunday at 8.00 a.m. till ten past 4 in the evening.
Yes, I truly feel the positive impact that brought everybody in my school to work as a team to achieve the target in one direction, i.e. the balanced score card and spn-21. All the efforts put into this event was very worthwhile and I am very pleased with all the participation from everyone.
Many have never thought of what we’ll be the activities set for this away day.. which was good as it had to be surprises all the way and challenged us both physically and mentally. Hehehe.. But a positive one and very enjoyable!
What touched me the most was how the facilitators showed us the presentation on the “Nature of Leaders”.. and we as teachers are actually naturally-born leaders. Why do I say that and what makes me say those words? Well, a lot of things.. one that I can connect to is that teachers are leaders in classrooms and become role models to students. Being a role model, one has to show good example to the younger generation in many ways and not only confined to the four walls of the classroom. What one has to know is that others see us, in whatever condition that we are in, good or bad, whether we are being ourselves or just being a hypocrite. They observe.. Hence, leaders should see within.. meaning that not only looks from the outside, but it is something inside (within) that has to be released, realized and rewarded for.. until others can appreciate what leaders can do to maximize the potential that they can bring up to the others. This may not sound easy for most people as we tend to do the routine exercise every day, for months, years that we have forgotten what change we can do to improve the quality of self and the life we are living in, how we can make ourselves learn more and never lose. Being positive is very powerful.
Whatever we think it influences what we do in our everyday lives. Have an open mind and be sure of what the consequences are when we have decided on our actions.

These made me stop and think on whatever tasks that I have done… through the activities that were conducted the whole day, gave me another look into communication and instructions between leaders and their team members. Leaders should communicate the instructions clearly to the team members so that the work will be a success. Otherwise it would just be a repeated learning process (remember not to say ‘trial-and-error’)..
The finale was overwhelming and I was speechless.... I would like to express my sincere appreciation to those who have actually realize the potential that I have never thought that I have within me. Love and special thoughts for all of you... Thank you so very much.. I really hope that everybody could be given more special notes to be passed on to more than 12 people..
Hopefully we can work as a great team to achieve our goals and objectives, while maintaining a positive and healthy working environment.. Insyallah…
