Should I.....?

People say that if you are given an opportunity to be doing something new and interesting, just accept it and do your very best in it.. I think that it is mostly true as you will learn new things and you are exposed to other openings or opportunities. Offers may come and go, so it is up to the person him/herself to decide whether to take or not.
I always encounter people giving offers to do other duties.. Well, when I first finished my A levels and got my results, I applied for overseas scholarship. During the interview, I was offered to do education in UBD which I did not apply. Hmmm... and I just simply say 'yes', agreeing to that without actually thinking about the consequences that I may end up being a teacher. With that part agreed, I thought that by being positive during the interview and not arguing or asking "Why should I?", I maybe accepted to do Geology in Leicester University.. I was wrong.. though accepted, it does not guarantee that I can get the scholarship. But nevermind that.. I still get to my degree in Mathematics education which I am really fond of doing, i.e. teaching.
While working for about 3 years plus, I was offered to join a three-months course at RECSAM in Pulau Pinang.. I went for the interview and filled in the form and got the confirmation that I'll be going. But at the last minute, I rejected it... well, I was bombarded with lots of questions as to why I rejected and was told that I will have difficulty to get into university to take up further studies.. Hmm... well, two years later, I joined the university to do my MEd in Mathematics ed. and graduated.. :)
Sometimes we thought that if we didn't get what we wanted in the beginning, we will not ever get it the next time.. Somehow we need to think positive and always pray that there will be other opportunities much better than what we wanted.. and that we have to work hard to achieve it.. Hence, offers come and go but we still have to be positive about them and do our very best.. If we don't get the offer, then it is not fated and not our 'Rezeki'..
A few days ago, several offers came to me.. and I wasn't ready to answer them. I guess I really have to do my 'Istikharah' so that I can clearly think of what I wanted to do and decide which I should take.. Insya Allah.. Hope the best will come soon.. Amiin..
